A free legal education session on your rights as a young person renting!

Are you a young person who is renting? Make sure you understand what your rights are under your tenancy agreement.

In this free 30 minute session you will learn about:

  • Making sure you get your bond back!
  • Lease transfers
  • Breaking your lease
  • Minimum safety standards owed to you and reporting when it’s not met
  • How to assert your rights and seek support when your rental provider does something they are not entitled to do

This session is hosted by Naarm Law Students, a collective of law students from the University of Melbourne dedicated to providing free community legal education on issues that disproportionately affect young people. We hope to empower you as a young person to understand your rights and know how to assert them!
